Luxurious Real Estate in Spain: Now Is The Time To Buy!

If you are looking for a good investment, luxurious real estates in Spain can be the best choice for you right now. Since the Spanish economy has been going through tough times, a good number of luxurious properties in the sun-kissed country have been hitting the real estate listings. Although you might imagine that most of the offers would be hyper modern vacation homes, there are a lot more options available, including renovated historic buildings that strike with their elegance and sophistication. In case you have always dreamed about owning a castle, or a futuristic-looking house on the beach, you should definitely consider buying now because aside from the fact that prices can definitely get higher in the future, the best places and estates would have already been bought by that time.

Before buying luxurious real estate in Spain, you have to make sure that you choose the one that best suits your needs and expectations. Here are some of the most important considerations when it comes to buying that type of property.

Location

Before you buy a mansion in Spain, you must consider if the location of the estate is strategic enough. Is it surrounded by other properties of the same type or is it the only such house in the area? In both cases, consider how you would feel living in this type of environment and whether you would be able to meet up with the standards of living there after your purchase. These factors are important if you are buying the house purely for investment reasons, as it would be harder to re-sell if the overall ambiance is not enjoyable, or if the surrounding properties are not inhabited. Definitely make sure that the real estate is situated in a safe area, as luxurious homes always draw attention. Your investment would not be worth the purchase if it is in an unsafe location where it can be prone to damages and other types of danger.

Size and Design

How would you feel like living in several thousand square feet of classic interiors? Most of the luxurious real estate properties offered out there boast at least 5 bedrooms and an extravagant style that needs care and maintenance. You might also imagine that the owners of these properties have most likely decided to sell, because they were not able to pay for that kind of maintenance and often the interiors might be dated, and in need of a major renovation.

Finally, keep in mind that whether the house is surrounded by palms, dense trees, or even situated on a cliff – its owners have most likely taken it to the extreme. Make sure that you do love what you see!

Price

If you really want a luxurious real estate in Spain, you must expect that the price would be quite high. As we discussed earlier, the design ideas are bold, ranging from classic Spanish villas to contemporary structures. In fact, many of the properties do not list their prices at all, so you should be prepared to ‘haggle’.
These are just some of the important considerations in buying a luxurious real estate in Spain. This type of properties truly are one of a kind, so make sure you check the listings regularly, as now and then there are real gems popping up at bargain prices!

Exciting Destinations for Buying Property in Spain - Continued

As we promised earlier, we will be exploring some of the most thrilling places in the sunny country. Since it’s summer that is coming, we decided to head somewhere fun and dynamic!

Madrid

Madrid is situated in the center of Spain, within the Community of Madrid, and is the economic hub of Spain. However, Madrid is so much more than just the administrative centre of the country! It is Spain’s heart and spirit… Oozing exuberance, Madrid is also known by most tourists as an amazing place for partying and shopping - it boasts one of the largest number of bars per person, compared to other European cities. Madrileños are famous for staying up until as late as 5AM-7AM! This makes Madrid Spain’s wild child, disregarding all ‘rules’.

Another fact we can’t deny is that Madrid is an astonishingly beautiful city with well-preserved buildings, large parks, and marvelous plazas tucked between winding cobblestone streets.  Madrid has an original tavern, too - the Old Coal Mine Museum - and in the summer a galore of events are organized in a theatre formed in the engine house, along with festivals and concerts at the Historic ballpark. Additionally, there are twenty theatres, contributing to the cultural vibe of the city, all of which are worth visiting, such as Lara, Figaro, Cómico, Bellas Artes, Ariequín and Goya.  We also have to mention that Spain’s capital city proudly presents to its visitors and citizens certain contemporary collections of Dali, Picasso and Miro, which are housed in Reina Sofia National Art Centre museum, the last of the three must-visit museums in the city. What adds to the city’s charm is Madrid’s great diversity. This is probably due to the fact that Madrid is extremely easily accessible by any other European country. Finally, Madrid is very well known for its exceptionally modernized and elaborate transportation network of buses and Metro – an important factor to have in mind when investing in real estate in Spain!

Moving on to…

Valencia

Valencia has become another spot that has drawn many to invest in property in Spain. Wonderfully mixing art, culture and science, Valencia has undergone major renovations, turning its magnificent architecture into a network of museums, apartment buildings, aquariums, shopping centers, and Imax cinemas. What has really put the spotlight on the city, though, is the world famous America's Cup 2007, known as the most significant yachting and sailing event in the world. Having hosted the event, Valencia has definitely attracted the attention of a good number of tourists and real estate investors.

The city’s exceptionally distinct character is determined by the fact that Valencia is an embodiment of many different cultures – it has gone through the influences of the Romans, the Arabs, the Catholic Kings, etc. The richness of culture in Valencia and the monuments of the past (such as The Palace of the Marquee of Dos Aguas) go hand in hand with the Oceanographic Park, which is a stunning exhibit of the various stages of marine life; as well as the Hemispheric Planetarium, where through the use of the most up-to-date equipment with Imax cinemas and laser shows, one is brought to outer space with the help of powerful pictures and sounds.
Last but not least, we have to mention Valencia’s serene beaches and picturesque city environment. Most notable is The Pinedo Beach, which is a more secluded destination for sun lovers. It lightens up one’s spirit with its golden sand dunes, vegetation, and crystal blue water.  In case you wish to quickly return to civilization, The Pinedo Beach is brought together to the yacht port with a seafront promenade, where one can enjoy sailing and surfing.
